 The Destin Sharks will head out on the road to  face off against  the Paxton Bobcats at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Destin is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game this season.
 Destin can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy as Destin made off with  a  10-0 win. The  victory was just what Destin needed coming off of  an  11-5 loss in their prior  match.
  Caleb Wright made a splash no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Wright was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other pitching news,  Vance Kirby looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 Back at the plate,  Dominic Rivas was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Brody Ray, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Paxton came up short against Opp on Thursday and fell  11-7. It was the first time  this season that Paxton let down their fans at home.
  Phillip Bearden was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 4-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and a  double.  Collin Stewart was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Destin's record now sits at 5-7. As for Paxton, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Destin has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.2  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Paxton struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 9.2. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
