Softball Recap: Breckenridge Beats Montabella for Their Third Straight Victory

Breckenridge entered their tilt with Montabella on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Mustangs 12-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-6 on Thursday.

Adyson Collins was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Collins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Lydia Slavik was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 contests. Emma Tinson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Breckenridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montabella only posted an OBP of .375.

Breckenridge's victory bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Montabella, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Breckenridge is set to square off against their familiar foe Fulton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Montabella will face off against rival Vestaburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
