Soccer Game Preview: Christian County vs. Todd County Central

The Christian County Colonels are taking a road trip to take on the Todd County Central Rebels at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Christian County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Christian County's offense. They lost 7-0 to Ohio County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Todd County Central was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Northeast could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Todd County Central's goal came courtesy of Shelby Rios Velasco, who's now up to two this season.

Christian County's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. With that draw, Todd County Central's record moves to 6-7-1.

Christian County came out on top in a nail-biter against Todd County Central in their previous matchup back in August of 2021, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonels since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
