Volleyball Recap: Loogootee Comes Up Short

Loogootee lost against Barr-Reeve back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-5.

Barr-Reeve's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joslyn (JJ) Knepp, who had seven kills, seven digs, and three blocks. Knepp is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Knepp, who had 24 assists and six digs.

Loogootee's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Barr-Reeve, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loogootee will welcome Springs Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barr-Reeve, they will be playing at home against Wood Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
