Softball Preview: Langston Hughes Panthers vs. Dutchtown Bulldogs

Langston Hughes has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to challenge the Dutchtown Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Langston Hughes is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Northgate on Thursday. They lost 19-0 to the Vikings. The Panthers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as their game on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Dutchtown made easy work of Lovejoy on Monday and carried off a 9-1 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

KeeLee Harris made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base, and a stolen base.

In other batting news, Dutchtown got a massive performance out of Ja'Myiah Walker, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
