Volleyball Recap: Father McGivney Catholic Takes a Loss

Father McGivney Catholic saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the St. Dominic Crusaders.

Jack Bukovac paced Father McGivney Catholic's offense, picking up four kills. Bukovac got some help from Dax Lieberman and his nine assists. Finally, Owen Kolesa kept Father McGivney Catholic's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Father McGivney Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for St. Dominic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Coincidentally, Father McGivney Catholic and St. Dominic will both be playing Notre Dame the next time they take the court. The Griffins will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Crusaders will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
