            Softball Recap: Stephenville FAITH Knights vs. Keene Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Stephenville FAITH lost against Keene back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Stephenville FAITH Knights fell  8-4 to the Keene Chargers. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

 McKenzi Black spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and five unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 At the plate, Stephenville FAITH saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Amelia Locke, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. That  hit was  Locke's first of the season.
 Even though they lost, Stephenville FAITH  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts in three consecutive  matchups.
Stephenville FAITH's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Keene,  the  victory  got them back to even at 4-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stephenville FAITH will face off against Texas Wind at 6:30  p.m.  on March 18th. Texas Wind is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2  runs per game  this season. As for Keene, they will take on Abbott at 4:30  p.m.  on March 18th.
