Baseball Recap: Lincoln Academy Comes Up Short

Hiawatha hit Lincoln Academy with a ten-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Lincoln Academy lost 21-3 to Hiawatha. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hiawatha this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-4 back in April.

Lincoln Academy's record is now 0-6. As for Hiawatha, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12-1.

Coming up, Lincoln Academy will take on Palmyra-Eagle at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hiawatha, they will be playing at home against Indian Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.18 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
