Baseball Recap: Denair Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Denair's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Waterford Wildcats on Thursday. The Coyotes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Noah Lundquist spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.

Denair's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Waterford, they moved to 6-12 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Denair is set to challenge their familiar foe Delhi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waterford will take on rival Stone Ridge Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
