Preview: Canyon Hills vs. Clairemont
The Canyon Hills Rattlers will head out on the road to square off against the Clairemont Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
For the first time since back in December of 2023, Canyon Hills was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and Patrick Henry finished up their match with a 3-3 draw.
Canyon Hills hit Patrick Henry with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Aidan Stone,
Cairo Brown, and
Xaelen Nash.
Meanwhile, Clairemont can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Morse. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Clairemont's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.
Canyon Hills' draw gives them a new season record of 8-10-2. As for Clairemont, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-4 record this season.
Canyon Hills suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Clairemont when the teams last played back in January. Can Canyon Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
