Basketball Game Preview: Plano Reapers vs. Parkview Christian Academy Falcons

The Plano Reapers will challenge the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Plano has six straight wins, Parkview Christian Academy has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Plano is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Somonauk/Leland: they outscored them in every quarter. Plano was the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over Somonauk/Leland on Saturday. The Reapers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

Josie Larson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 18 on her way to 19 points in addition to six steals and five boards. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sanai Young, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Plano smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 31 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Parkview Christian Academy took a blow against Henry-Senachwine last Friday, falling 45-16. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Plano is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
