Soccer Recap: Greater Lawrence Tech's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate on Tuesday, Greater Lawrence Tech came back down to earth. The Reggies fell 3-1 to the Andover Golden Warriors on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Greater Lawrence Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Andover are ranked 67th).

Greater Lawrence Tech's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10-2. As for Andover, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greater Lawrence Tech will host Malden Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Reading at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Reading's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Andover's offense will have their work cut out for them.
