Lutheran fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past the Bunker Hill Minutemen with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-35. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 51-40 victory the Minutemen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.

Despite the loss, Bunker Hill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bryce Yates posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Will Manar, who scored eight points.

Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Bunker Hill, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-16.

Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-31 victory against Griggsville-Perry on the 8th. As for Bunker Hill, they will square off against Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bunker Hill is facing Lebanon at the right time seeing as Lebanon is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
