Volleyball Recap: Flint Hill Falls Short Against Ranked James Madison

Flint Hill faced James Madison in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Huskies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Mila Smith paced Flint Hill's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Ava Zender and her 17 assists. Hunter Ross controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Flint Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for James Madison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flint Hill will venture away from home to challenge Episcopal at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for James Madison, they will face off against Centreville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
