Softball Recap: Mars Hill Bible Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Mars Hill Bible duked it out with Ardmore on Friday. The Mars Hill Bible Panthers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ardmore Tigers. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mars Hill Bible saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila Embry, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Molly Wright was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Mars Hill Bible was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Mars Hill Bible's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Ardmore, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.

Looking ahead, Mars Hill Bible will venture away from home to challenge Deshler at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ardmore, they will square off against Muscle Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
