The Randolph Cardinals will take on the Gowanda Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Randolph is returning to their home field after beating Silver Creek on theirs, despite the fact Silver Creek has dominated at home this season. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Black Knights with a sharp 16-2 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Grace Arnold-Hill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Arnold-Hill was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mallory Smallback was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jadelynn McMaster, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Randolph always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Creek only posted an OBP of .150.
Meanwhile, Gowanda earned a 7-3 victory over Forestville Central on Tuesday.
Like Randolph, Gowanda also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Kota. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Kota has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs.
In other batting news, Holland Browning was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Sophia Bobseine was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Gowanda has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Randolph, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Randolph skirted past Gowanda 9-8 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
