Softball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

Covington lost to Riverton Parke back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Covington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preslee Shaw, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Riverton Parke, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Riverton Parke beat Covington by a score of 15-11 later that day.
