Football Preview: Terrell Tigers vs. Poteet Pirates        
        
		
             The Terrell Tigers will square off against the Poteet Pirates at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Terrell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28.4  points per game  this season.
 Last Friday, Terrell came up short against Crandall  and fell  25-14. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.
 Although Terrell took the loss, they still got scores from  Julian Ashley and  Roderick Hambrick Jr..
 Terrell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Noah Lewis and  Xiren James.
 Meanwhile, Poteet was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were beaten by Ennis 63-14. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by  exactly 49  points.
 Poteet's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Terrell, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Everything came up roses for Terrell against Poteet when the teams last played  back in October of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  36-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Terrell since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
