Soccer Recap: Union's Undefeated Season over After Nine Games

Union was the 3-2 winner over Northview when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Hawks fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Union came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Northview are ranked 301st).

Having lost for the first time this season, Union fell to 7-1-1. As for Northview, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will square off against West Catholic at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northview, they will welcome Reeths-Puffer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
