Baseball Recap: San Angelo Central Wins Going Away Against Austin

San Angelo Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Austin on Saturday. Everything went the San Angelo Central Bobcats' way against the Austin Maroons as the San Angelo Central Bobcats made off with an 11-2 win. Considering the Bobcats have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

San Angelo Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Austin and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, San Angelo Central will take on Burleson in a tournament on Thursday. As for Austin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Round Rock at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
