First Colonial had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-run performance the match before.

First Colonial's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9.
