Baseball Game Preview: MMI Preparatory School vs. Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans

MMI Preparatory School is 2-8 against Greater Nanticoke Area since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. MMI Preparatory School will face off against the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans at 4:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

MMI Preparatory School can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They fell just short of Shenandoah Valley by a score of 6-5.

MMI Preparatory School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Skuba, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Skuba a new career-high in doubles (two).

Meanwhile, Greater Nanticoke Area lost 13-4 to Holy Cross on Monday.

Ethan Ball was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

MMI Preparatory School skirted past Greater Nanticoke Area 6-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for MMI Preparatory School since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
