Todd County Central entered their tilt with Calloway County on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lakers 5-3. The five-run effort marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Addison Woodall was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Woodall wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Weikel, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Rylann Griggs also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Todd County Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Calloway County, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coming up, Todd County Central will square off against Christian County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calloway County, they are taking a road trip to take on Madisonville-North Hopkins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
