Basketball Recap: West Harrison Comes Up Short

West Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ar-We-Va Rockets, falling 61-38. While losing is never fun, the Hawkeyes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Rockets are ranked 138th).

West Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Ar-We-Va, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

West Harrison will square off against Coon Rapids-Bayard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Coon Rapids-Bayard's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Ar-We-Va, they will face off against Paton-Churdan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
