Basketball Recap: Altus Takes a Loss

Altus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Classen SAS Comets, falling 90-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-41 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Josiah Morales, who went 8 of 12 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points and five rebounds for Classen SAS. The dominant performance also gave Morales a new career-high in field goal percentage (62%). Evan Gunn was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 12 points.

Altus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Classen SAS, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Coming up, Altus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elgin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Classen SAS, they will take on Del City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
