Recap: Calvert Cavaliers vs. Forest Park Foresters
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Calvert Cavaliers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Foresters and snuck past 17-14. The victory was nothing new for Calvert as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Among those leading the charge was Domaine Wallace Jr., who rushed for 135 yards.
Calvert's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.2 points per game. As for Forest Park, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.
Calvert will take on Dunbar at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Dunbar's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. Forest Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
