Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-0 victory over the West Memphis Christian Black Knights. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Generals had established a 42-point advantage.

Max Morgan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 210 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 121 rushing yards. Another big playmaker for Washington was Doty Scott, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Washington's run defense was locked in: West Memphis Christian could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Rodgers Ewing for the heroic effort on defense: he. Washington didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Washington, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Scott, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The win was the fourth in a row for Washington, bringing their record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.8 points on average over those games. As for West Memphis Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will welcome Marshall Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Generals will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for West Memphis Christian, they will be playing at home against Rossville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Black Knights will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
