Baseball Recap: Botkins Gets the Win

Botkins won the last time they faced Ansonia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Botkins let Elijah Schuller and Quin Koenig run wild. Schuller scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Koenig scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Koenig, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Botkins now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ansonia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Botkins and Ansonia will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trojans are set to take on their familiar foe Fort Loramie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ansonia will face off against rival Arcanum at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
