Soccer Recap: Westerly Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Westerly and Lincoln, and Lincoln kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs came up short against the Lions on Sunday, falling 3-0. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Westerly it sure didn't stay that way.

Westerly has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-2 record this season. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westerly is set to take on their familiar foe Tiverton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln will square off against rival Hope at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
