Baseball Game Preview: Fort Thomas Apaches vs. Baboquivari Warriors

Fort Thomas is 2-8 against Baboquivari since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Apaches will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Baboquivari took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Thomas, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Fort Thomas turned things around against Maryvale Prep on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Matador with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Baboquivari's offense. They lost 17-0 to St. David on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Henry Conde was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Baboquivari's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Fort Thomas, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Fort Thomas beat Baboquivari 9-5 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
