Basketball Game Preview: Westwood Panthers vs. South Fork Bulldogs

Westwood is 1-9 against South Fork since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Westwood Panthers will host the South Fork Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Westwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Last Thursday, Westwood ended up a good deal behind Centennial and lost 81-65. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Eagles are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, South Fork posted their closest victory since November 21, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over Port St. Lucie. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Jaguars since January 14, 2020.

South Fork has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Westwood, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
