There's no place like home for Roybal, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They managed a 64-59 win over the Mendez Jaguars on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Roybal had a senior duo take command as Samuel Kunga posted 25 points and Abayome Shambulia had 23 points. Shambulia has become a key player for Roybal: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Seth Morris, who earned eight points.

Despite the loss, Mendez still got an impressive performance from Victor Sauceda, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Sauceda has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. John Rodriguez was another key player, going 8-for-17 to rack up 18 points.

Roybal's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Mendez, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Roybal has already played their next match (against Contreras), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mendez, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-48 defeat against Robert F. Kennedy Community on the 12th.
