Volleyball Game Preview: Sycamore Spartans vs. Morris

The Sycamore Spartans will head out on the road to square off against Morris at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Sycamore turned things around against Ottawa on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 2-0.

The victory didn't come easy: Ottawa scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Morris hadn't done well against Kaneland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Morris skirted past Kaneland 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Morris got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 25-21.

Sycamore's record now sits at 10-8. As for Morris, their record is now 20-4.

Sycamore came up short against Morris in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
