Preview: Dunbar Poets vs. City College Black Knights
The Dunbar Poets will head out on the road to take on the City College Black Knights at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Wednesday, Dunbar came up short against Lake Clifton and fell 59-52. Dunbar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, City College waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Cliffside Park, posting a 81-42 victory at home. City College has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.
Dunbar's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for City College, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
Dunbar came up short against City College in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 63-52. Can Dunbar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
