Cosby has gone 8-2 against Monacan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Cosby has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While Cosby's victory against Clover Hill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Cavaliers 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won four in a row.

Kam Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kammie Walter, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lily Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Cosby hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clover Hill struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monacan). They were the clear victors by a 21-12 margin over James River Midlothian on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chiefs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Monacan got a massive performance out of Katelyn Marshall, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Ael Lewis, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and four runs.
Monacan's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Cosby, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Monacan's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Cosby has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Monacan, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 strikeouts. Will Cosby keep running through batters, or will the Chiefs buck the trend?
Cosby took their win against Monacan in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 9-3 score. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
