Football Game Preview: Gonzales Apaches vs. Salado Eagles + How To Watch

The Gonzales Apaches will head out to challenge the Salado Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Gonzales will head out to face Salado after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Apaches took a 38-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wimberley.

Meanwhile, Salado lost to Jarrell on the road by a 43-29 margin on Friday.

Gonzales will have to contain Luke Bingham as he made an impact in Salado's last game. He rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 56 receiving yards.

Salado's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Gonzales, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.

Things could have been worse for Gonzales, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 14-0 loss to Salado in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Apaches avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
