Basketball Game Preview: Lake Havasu Knights vs. Lee Williams Volunteers

Lake Havasu hasn't had much luck against Lee Williams recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lake Havasu Knights will face off against the Lee Williams Volunteers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lake Havasu is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a hard 75-61 fall against Shadow Mountain.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Zacharee Bennetch, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Halo Jump, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lee Williams). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 65-27 victory over Kingman. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Volunteers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Lake Havasu's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lee Williams, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Lake Havasu came up short against Lee Williams when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 57-48. Can Lake Havasu avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
