Softball Recap: Caldwell Wins Going Away Against Monroe Central

Caldwell got themselves on the board against Monroe Central on Wednesday, but Monroe Central never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Seminoles with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Redskins have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Caldwell is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Caldwell will head out on the road to face off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe Central, they will welcome Union Local at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
