Basketball Recap: Ridgedale Comes Up Short

If Ridgedale was feeling good fresh off their 65-35 takedown of Vanlue last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ridgedale Rockets fell just short of the Ridgemont Golden Gophers by a score of 55-53 on Friday. The Rockets have struggled against the Golden Gophers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Ridgedale's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Ridgemont, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Ridgedale will finish 2024 at home by hosting East Knox at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Ridgemont, they are taking a road trip to take on North Union at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Ridgemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully North Union likes a good challenge.
