Recap: Diller-Odell Griffin vs. Deshler Dragons
The Diller-Odell Griffin lost against the Deshler Dragons back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Diller-Odell falling 45-31.
Diller-Odell lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Myleigh Weers, who scored 19 points. Weers scored a full 61.3% of Diller-Odell's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kenzie Strein was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Diller-Odell struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Diller-Odell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Deshler, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Diller-Odell will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deshler, they will head out on the road to face off against Shelton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
