Hahn wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Avery Werner, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday East Dubuque sidestepped Fulton for a 6-4 win.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Galena has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East Dubuque struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Galena came up short against East Dubuque when the teams last played back in May of 2023, falling 7-3. Thankfully for Galena, Annika Husemann (who struck out six batters over eight innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk)) won't be suiting up this time.
