Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Middleton Tigers a 22-0 shutout on Thursday. The Dragons have beaten the Tigers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Jaden Pena looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elijah Benton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Isiah Fernandez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1.

Jefferson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middleton struck out seven times.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Middleton, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will challenge Lennard at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Middleton, they will square off against Blake at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
