The Captain Shreve Gators will square off against the Destrehan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Captain Shreve has given up an average of 47 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Captain Shreve is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Evangel Christian Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 71-25. The Gators were down 63-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Captain Shreve might have lost, but man, Jamarcea Plater was a machine: he rushed for 238 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Plater really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Meanwhile, Destrehan entered their tilt with Bourgeois on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 53-6 victory over the Braves. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Captain Shreve's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Destrehan, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.
