Softball Game Preview: Bourne Canalmen vs. Case Cardinals

Bourne hasn't had much luck against Case recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Canalmen will venture away from home to take on the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Bourne barely beat Mashpee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Canalmen blew past the Falcons 21-3 on Monday. The Canalmen's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Case entered their tilt with Uxbridge on Monday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Case's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Bourne, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Bourne suffered a grim 20-0 defeat to Case when the teams last played back in April. Can the Canalmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
