Basketball Recap: Michigan Collegiate Comes Up Short

Michigan Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took an 80-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Voyageur Academy Cougar. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Cougar are ranked 182nd).

Michigan Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Voyageur Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Michigan Collegiate has already played their next match (against Consortium College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Voyageur Academy will challenge Lincoln-King Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Voyageur Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Lincoln-King Academy likes a good challenge.
