Baseball Game Preview: Milan Bulldogs vs. Peabody Golden Tide

For the second straight game, Milan will face off against Peabody. The Bulldogs will face off against the Golden Tide at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Milan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Peabody 12-3 on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Golden Tide recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

James Carter was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Colin Milligan and Whitten Dobbs did most of the damage at the plate: Milligan went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Dobbs scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Dobbs a new career-high in RBI (two). Kasen Yates was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Milan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Milan pushed their record up to 7-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Peabody, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
