Softball Recap: Estero Finds Playoff Glory Versus Port Charlotte

Estero extended their postseason success on Thursday against Port Charlotte. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 24, 2024.

Annika Jarvi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits.

At the plate, Estero's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trenedy Eggleston, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Estero, bringing their record up to 14-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Port Charlotte, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-15.

As of now, neither Estero nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
