Basketball Recap: Blue Eye Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Blue Eye lost to Hollister back in December of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Blue Eye Bulldogs secured a 47-42 W over the Hollister Tigers. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Tigers are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Blue Eye's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Hollister, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Blue Eye will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wheaton at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Hollister has already played their next matchup, an 81-39 defeat against Fair Grove on the 28th.
