Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short at Home Against Fayetteville-Perry

Springfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Natalie Erdman and Rae'Lyn Keeton scored both of Springfield's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Springfield will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Springboro at 7:15 p.m. on the 27th. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they will head out to face off against North Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
