Volleyball Recap: Rockmart Victorious

Rockmart posted their closest victory since October 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Paulding County Patriots 2-1. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Rockmart who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 17-25, 15-10.

Rockmart can attribute much of their success to Lilly Griffin, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Griffin has posted since back in October of 2024.

Rockmart's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Paulding County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Rockmart and Paulding County will both be playing Alexander the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
